As well as reading the world, I enjoy exploring its bookshops. So when I find myself in a new part of the planet, I often make a beeline for the nearest wordmonger’s and spend some time browsing the selection. It can be fascinating to see what sort of titles booksellers stock and how they present them to tempt readers.
